Welcome to the GBC Restaurant and Coffeeshop situated in the heart of Galway City. Since we opened our doors as the Galway Bakery Company for the first time in 1926 we have established a reputation for cuisine excellence.Today that tradition is being nurtured and enhanced by the present proprietors Jerry and Brid McSweeney. The GBC restaurant and Coffeeshop is two floors of fabulous cuisine catering for everyone's need at all times of the day. Our restaurant has been completely refurbished in recent years to create a unique atmosphere, while the food is simply delicious.

Choose from the extensive lunch and A La Carte menus in our Restaurant, expertly prepared by our award winning chefs and served to the highest standards by our waiting staff. Opening hours 12 noon to 10pm.

The Coffeeshop opens 8am to 10pm daily. For the early riser we have Traditional Irish breakfast and why not try our own famous home-made brown bread. For lunch and throughout the day and evening we have a variety of hot dishes, toasted sandwiches, freshly made to order sandwiches, rolls and baps.
